Deepesh Sharma Profile Thumbnail

I'm Deepesh Sharma. For the past 10+ years, my focus has been on untangling complexity. I currently lead product design at MPS Limited, where I build scholarly publishing platforms used by over a million authors, editors, and reviewers across the globe.

I spent initial years of my career designing for people who were physically standing in a room — figuring out where their eyes would land first, what made them stop walking, what made a product feel worth touching. Titan, Lenskart, The Body Shop. Unorganized general trade market to modern retail floors across India.

"Good design is not when there's nothing left to add. It's when there's nothing left to take away."

Then I moved the same questions to a screen. Turns out the eye doesn't really care whether the canvas is a shop window or a dashboard. It's still asking: what matters most here, and why should I trust it.

My latest work involves a publishing platform with four kinds of users whose requirements are distinct and often conflicting—authors submitting their research articles, editors managing progress queues, reviewers assessing submissions, and publishers monitoring analytics.

To formalize my decade of experience, I've returned to the classroom for a PG Diploma in Interaction Design at IDC, IIT Bombay. I partly wanted to put proper vocabulary to the things I've been doing, and partly because I don't think learning should stop just because the job title got better.

One of my favorite photos, captured at the Godavari River in Rajahmundry. Under the oppressive summer heat, a man makes his way across the river through sheer patience and years of skill.

Outside of work, I produce(I prompt, AI produces ;) Indian classical instrumental music — meditation tracks, morning ragas, the occasional Hinglish song that has nothing to do with UX at all. I can't fully explain why.

Designer's Note

The human aspect of SaaS systems

As a Lead UX Designer managing enterprise applications, my focus has always been on translating complex technical architectures into clear, user-centric interfaces. A product shouldn't force users to struggle through decades-old legacy menus.

Throughout my tenure at MPS Limited and LaunchMyCareer, I have dedicated myself to simplifying complex workflows. Whether it's managing submission pipelines for over 1 million academic researchers, UX design serves to bridge human intuition and database configurations.

My approach is grounded in cognitive clarity and functional efficiency. I believe enterprise interfaces succeed when they minimize interaction friction and present complex system capabilities transparently. By prioritizing structured information hierarchies and reducing cognitive load, we can design SaaS workflows that respect the user's time and elevate professional productivity.
